If a visitor's attempt to view a page on your website
fails, the server will generate and send an error page, which is
displayed in the visitor's browser. These default error pages are not
terribly attractive—consisting of an error code and a cryptic
description of what went wrong in unstyled HTML—but they are easy to
replace with custom error handlers.

Warning:
If you are using FrontPage and have the extensions installed you will not
be able to use these custom error messages as they share the same .htaccess
file.
From the Control panel select the File Manager Icon.
In the file name field enter .htaccess and press the Create/Edit
file button:

Once the file has been created, repeat the exact same process to edit
the file.
